Zinc sulfate is a combination of sulfur and zinc. It is used in fertilizers, animal feeds, and industrial applications. The toxicity depends on the zinc content of the product.
Specifications
- Used to supply zinc in animal feeds, fertilizers, toothpaste, and agricultural sprays.
- Used together with oral rehydration therapy (ORT) as an astringent.
- Main application is as a coagulant in the production of rayon.
- Precursor to the pigment lithopone.
- Used as an electrolyte for zinc electroplating, as a mordant in dyeing, and as a preservative for skins and leather.
